AS 5203:2016 Protection of openable windows/fall prevention – Test sequence and compliance method.
Methodology

OmniTest has specially engineered and calibrated equipment that is traceable to AS ISO/IEC 17025 standards and can conduct testing either in our laboratory or onsite.
The protection of openable windows covers two types of tests:
- The Fall Prevention Test: The fall prevention test determines the resistance of a barrier screen to a level of force equal to 250 Newtons for a minimum of 5 seconds
- The Force Test for Window Control Devices: this test determines the resistance of a restricted window control device to a level of force equal to 250 Newtons for a minimum of 5 seconds
